SHOE CARE

Important restoration tips for your footwear

HandyINSTRUCTIONS

Handy instructions that our expert team adheres to for the maintenance, quality control and mending the footwear of our valued customers. We would like to share some imperative advice from our team of experts at LARCH.

Crease Management

Creasing is fairly unavoidable but the level of creasing varies, depending on different factors. Some measures to limit creasing include using shoe trees or using a blow-dryer (on low setting) to blow heat on the leather vamps once the shoe trees are in place.

Salt Stains

Salt is a very prevalent ingredient used in sidewalks which causes white stains on your leather footwear due to its coarse nature especially if one steps in a puddle or gets stuck in a downpour. To get it off – dry off your shoe naturally, followed by a clean wipe with a clean cloth.

Repairingleather tear

The outermost layer of the leather carries the dye and finish. Being the most exposed part of the shoe makes it prone to tear. If the tear is minimal, it can be gently glued back and polished for a replenished look.

NourishingThe Leather

Painting your leather shoes works wonders to rejuvenate them – it helps to revive the color and hides signs of regular wear and tear, thereby giving your shoe a quick & easy makeover.

RevivingSole Edges

To keep the soles from disintegrating, our team recommends repainting and waxing the shoe as it will retain damage caused by moisture, flexing and general usage – ultimately maintaining the fresh gleam of your footwear.

DirtREMOVAL

Some areas of your shoe are widely neglected – like the welt. Use a strong bristled brush and some shoe cream to clean it thoroughly as it is an essential part that holds your shoe together and must be cleaned regularly.
